Charlie Puth announces new album, single, and world tour

Internationally acclaimed, multi-platinum artist, songwriter, and producer Charlie Puth has unveiled his latest single, Beat Yourself Up, the first taste of his highly anticipated fourth studio album Whatever’s Clever!, set for release on March 27 via Atlantic Records. The single arrives with a striking music video and follows news of Puth’s biggest world tour to date.

Puth shares on the inspiration behind the track: “‘Beat Yourself Up’ started as something I wanted to tell a friend. We’ve never been the heart-to-heart types, so I wrote it in a song instead. I wanted to tell him that even though he has made mistakes along the way, he shouldn’t be so hard on himself. That things will get better, and he’s not alone. While writing it, I soon realized this wasn’t just for my friend but myself and so many others who can be hard on themselves. It’s a message to keep going and be kinder to yourself.”

Co-produced by Puth and BLOODPOP, the single sets the stage for what he calls his most personal and explorative era yet. The forthcoming Whatever’s Clever! follows a string of career-defining hits, including “Attention,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” and the Billboard Global 200 #1 “STAY” (co-written for The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber).

The “Whatever’s Clever! 2026 World Tour” kicks off April 22 at San Diego’s Viejas Arena, spanning nearly 50 dates across North America, Europe, and the UK, including headline shows at Madison Square Garden in New York, the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Stockholm, Paris, London, and Warsaw. Puth will perform a mix of his biggest hits and new material from Whatever’s Clever! with a world-class live band. Support acts include Daniel Seavey and Lawrence on select North American dates, with Ally Salort joining for the full run.

“I feel like I’ve worked and waited my entire career to put this sort of live show on for you all,” Puth says. “We have worked so hard to bring you top-level musicianship and arrangements that you all deserve in a live show, and I am beyond excited to bring my music and this incredible band to some of the most iconic rooms in the world. It’s going to be fun!”

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.

Puth will also perform at the Super Bowl in San Francisco on February 8, marking one of his most high-profile live appearances ahead of the album’s release.
